Hi! I’m Nikki Cross

I have taught middle school math in Missouri, Oregon, and Oklahoma with experience in both traditional grading as well as standards based grading. Since having our first child, my husband and I have recently moved to Oklahoma to be closer to family. I am currently teaching in Oklahoma and working from home as a content creator for TPT creating resources for teachers and students everywhere!

I believe in building our students’ confidence and reducing their math anxiety by providing multiple opportunities to respond (OTR’s). I switch gears often with the use of transitions to enhance student engagement and help students develop mastery through repetition in a variety of ways.

Also, I really really like cats. Cat puns or anything cat related makes me smile! If you’re unsure about a theme for your classroom, consider the best theme of all; cats!
